Union bank of India organizes Big Bank Day

Union bank of India has organized a two-day-long event – Big Bank Day – from November 24 at more than 125 regions after introducing several pan-India schemes. Central office DGM Baij Nath Singh has attended the camp at Tirupur.

According to a statement, the bank has introduced a special deposit scheme linked with insurance – Union Muskaan – for kids upto Rs 4 lakh and had conducted several activities to create awareness among the students. Awareness programmes were organized at Siva Niketan school and  St Joseph college at Tirupur.

MSME cluster industry scheme

As a part of the day, the bank has conducted a credit outreach campaign and sanctioned Rs 30.25 crore to various exporters and industries under MSME cluster industry scheme for entrepreneurs and Rs 5.03 crore under retail loan scheme which includes housing loan, vehicle loan and personal loan.

Under the social security scheme of the union government, we have registered 20,000 enrolments under  PMSBY, PMJJBY, APY, PMSVN scheme, the statement said, adding that the bank has introduced special schemes at attractive rates of interest for retail depositors and launched a gold loan scheme. Bank has revamped the mobile app – VYOM – and it contains more than 350 features with  straight through processing (STP) for RAM (retail, agriculture and MSME) credit.
