Upgraded PHCs handed over to collector at Coimbatore

As many as 10 Upgraded Primary Health Centres (PHCs) were handed over by Native Medicare Charitable Trust and Bosch as part of its CSR activity to the district collector Pavankumar G. Giriyappavanar during an event organized at a private hotel in the city on 
Monday.
The project is aimed at enhancing healthcare infrastructure and equipping these centres with essential medical facilities to improve service delivery in rural and semi-urban communities.
The upgraded PHCs are located in Valparai, Sholayar Nagar, Periyapothu, and Topslip (Anaimalai Block); Negamam (Pollachi North Block); Anaikatti (Periyanaickenpalayam Block); and Karamadai, Sirumugai, Velliangadu, and Seeliyur (Karamadai Block).
These centres underwent significant improvements, including infrastructure upgrades and the installation of advanced medical equipment, to strengthen primary healthcare services in these regions.
The event was attended by the district health officer P. Balusamy, centre head of Bosch Global Software Technologies Naved Narayan, CSR head of Bosch Global Software Technologies Shilpa Deodhar, founder and managing trustee of NMCT A.S. Sankaranarayanan, and other officials.
The initiative underscores Bosch’s commitment to CSR and its role in strengthening public healthcare infrastructure. By equipping PHCs with modern medical facilities and improved infrastructure, this project is expected to enhance access to quality healthcare for underserved communities, thereby contributing to better health outcomes in the state.
