Wayanad Landslide: National calamity declaration and immediate relief funds needed

Southwest Monsoon intensified in Kerala, causing landslides in Wayanad district, resulting in 170 deaths and fragmented areas. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed anguish and Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured the central government to provide assistance. Thousands of people have lost their livelihoods, and rehabilitation is urgent.
The state government has taken efforts for that. But it requires a lot of money. The MPs of the state have raised their voices in the Parliament to declare the Kerala landslide as a national disaster.
There can be no alternative opinion that the desire of the people of the entire country is that the central government should immediately send a team led by senior ministers to Kerala and provide the necessary funds.
When there were severe floods in Tamil Nadu especially in Nellai and Thoothukudi districts, the Tamil Nadu government asked for more than Rs.37 thousand crore relief funds, but the central government did not give a single penny of the special fund. It also refused to declare it as a national calamity.
There is no doubt that relief for the Wayanad landslides that claimed more than 130 lives will require more than what Tamil Nadu has asked for. When Tamil Nadu has not been given even a single penny, how to give to Kerala? As The central government should not stand idly by and give a hand to Kerala. Even if the central government gives Rs 50,000 crore to Kerala, the Tamil Nadu government will never oppose it and will not ask how it can be given. On the contrary, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M..K.Stalin will  welcome the move.
Therefore, the Wayanad landslide should be declared as a national calamity and announce adequate relief fund. a part of  which should be given immediately for emergency works.
