We should all be proud of the country’s startup ecosystem: Telengana Guv

The ‘Y20’  Talk on ‘Future of Work: Industry 4.0 , Innovation and ‘21st Century Skills’ was conducted in association with Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore and DOBBS Public School, Saravanampatti, Coimbatore. Her Excellency Governor of Telengana and Lt. Governor of Puducherry, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Other dignitaries present on the occasion included, A, Namassivayam, Hon’ble Home Minister of Puducherry, S. Chandira Priyanga, Hon’ble Minister of Transport, Puducherry, Nainar Nagendran, Member of legislative Assembly, Tirunelveli, Vanathi Srinivasan, Member of Legislative Assembly, Coimbatore South, Dr. C.A.Vasuki, Secretary & Director, KASC, G.Karthikeyan, Correspondent, DOBBS Public School Coimbatore, Anmol Sovit, Chair- Y20 India, Thavathiru Ramanatha Kumaragurubara Swamigal ,Siravai Adheenam, Kaumaramadalayam, Kirthika Shivkumar, ED, Indian Public School, and Nainar Balaji, Social worker,Abisheak Asir, State Convenor, Y20 India and Shridaar, State Co-convenor, Y20 India,
Delivering her address, the Chief Guest, Dr. TamiIisai Soundarajan said that any development should be inclusive and that the participation of women is important.She thanked the Prime Minister for making 33% reservation for women a reality. Conveying her greetings to the students she hoped that they will make the country proud in the future.
She pointed out that the Y20 Talk is for the youth. Around 60-65% percent of the country’s  population are lesser than the  35 years. She said that no other nation enjoys this demographic advantage. 
Speaking about the importance of protecting our environment, for handing it over to the future generations, she stated that it is something that is only possible for the youth. 
The Governor mentioned that we should all be proud of the startup ecosystem in the country. She pointed out that there were over 900 startups in India. She pointed out how these startups are helping give a fillip to manufacturing, leading to a self-reliant India. 
Earlier Dr. Vasuki welcomed the gathering. Speaking about the G20 , of which Y20 talks is a part, being held from 1st December 22, to  November 2023. India’s theme for its presidency is enshrined in its civilizational value systems of ‘Vasudeva Kutumbakam’, hence our themee ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’.
She added that she was very happy to host the Y20 talk during what is the golden jubilee year of the college. She mentioned that thte college has a legacy of research and education for the past 50 years. 
The topic of deliberation is centered around youth development. By the year 2035 India will have the largest youth population in the world where we are going to have 65% of the youth force between the age of 15 to 35. To harness their immense potentail it is important to harness their immense potentail towards constructive avenues. 
A panel discussion titled ‘Youth Leadership for 2047- Shaping the Youth of Bharath’ was another highlight of the event. The participants in the panel discussion included Dr. F. X. Lovelina Little Flower, Rajesh Govindarajulu, Sudhakar Narayanan, S. Gayathri and Harish Selvakumar.
