Who benefits from the court order in AIADMK case?

Who benefits from the court order in AIADMK case?

A question has arisen whether the court's order that the AIADMK General Secretary election can be conducted and the result should not be announced is favorable to Edappadi K Palanisamy or O. Panneerselvam.
Edappadi Palaniswami has announced AIADMK general secretary election. The nominations for this have been completed since yesterday. It has been announced that the General Secretary election of AIADMK will be held on March 26. AIADMK leadership has announced that counting of votes will be held from 9 am on 27th.

On the other side, O. Panneerselvam has filed a case against this election. The Madras High Court heard this case, ``A case has been filed against the resolutions of the General Council held on July 11. Let's do a quick investigation into it. The case against the AIADMK General Council resolutions will be heard in advance on March 22. The court has ordered that the verdict will be given on 24th and the election results should not be published until then.

On the whole, is the order issued in this case favorable to Edappadi Palaniswami and favorable to O. Panneerselvam? The question has arisen. Strictly speaking, this order is a win-win situation for both of them. There is no ban on elections instead the High Court has said that the election can be held. Only publication of results is prohibited. This is a positive advantage for Edappadi Palanisamy because no one else is competing against him . All the 221 nominations filed have been filed in the name of Edappadi Palaniswami.

So he will win unopposed. But that victory can't be declared outright. But it will be known that he is the General Secretary. So this order is in favor of Edappadi. But on the other hand, the case against AIADMK General Council resolutions will be heard early on March 22. The High Court has said that the verdict will be delivered on the 24th. It favors O. Panneerselvam. Accordingly, perhaps if the resolutions of the General Council are deemed invalid by the court or if an order is made that the General Secretary should not announce the results of the election until the civil court investigates it, it will be favorable to O. Panneerselvam.

On the whole, the interim order issued on March 19 has created a positive situation for both of them!
Edappadi Palaniswami is going fast in the horse race. O. Panneeselvam also follows. But it is certain that Edappadi Palaniswami will be crowned AIADMK General Secretary. There is only little delay in it... that's all. A strong opposition is good for democracy, be it Parliament or Legislature. Advance congratulations to Edappadi Palaniswami!
