Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will start his Jai Bharat Yatra on April 9th in the same city of Kolar where he criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for which he was sentenced to imprisonment.
During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Congress senior leader Rahul Gandhi commented on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lalit Modi and Nirav Modi at a public meeting in Kolar, Karnataka.
Rahul Gandhi was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment for defamation when a case filed against this in the Surat court. Subsequently, he has been disqualified from the post of MP. This case has created a stir across the country.
In this backdrop, the polling for the Karnataka Legislative Assembly will be held on May 10. Rahul Gandhi is planning to campaign across the state in support of the Congress candidates contesting this election.
Rahul Gandhi, former president Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will also participate in this yatra which will start on 9th. Following this, he will participate in the public meeting held in Wayanad on the 11th.
