Will OPS join with Sasikala's team?

Former Chief Minister O Panneerselvam congratulated the AIADMK’s mouthpiece Jaya TV for entering into its 24th year. The wishes were telecasted in the TV, thus making the public wonder whether it is a move to work with former chief minister J Jayalalithaa’s aid Sasikala. 

When Jayalalithaa was alive, information pertaining to election candidates, government orders and other reports would be telecasted in the television before making it public. So, the channel was keenly watched by everyone. 

Following the demise of Jayalalithaa in 2016, O Panneerselvam staged a dharmayutham against Sasikala. Subsequently, the AIADMK party divided into two teams and the mouthpieces - Jaya TV and Namadhu MGR - have gone under the control of Sasikala’s team. Since then, news related to Panneerselvam was not telecasted in the channel.

Now, following the dispute between the AIADMK leaders Edappadi K Palaniswami and Panneerselvam, the party has further divided into two teams. 

In this situation, when the TV is entering into its 24th year, multiple political leaders have extended their wishes to the channel management and it was telecasted in the channel. 

As a part of it, the wishes of Panneerselvam were also telecasted almost after six years. 
It was only a few days ago, Panneerselvam had invited Sasikala, Palaniswami and Dhinakaran to work together for the welfare of the party and the public. 

In his wish, Panneerselvam has said, “The channel which was founded by the former chief minister J Jayalalithaa in 1999, has completed 23 years in the industry. 

The channel is breaking the news not just in the state but also across the country. I congratulate everyone who worked for the channel’s victory.” 

As Panneerselvam’s message was telecasted in the channel after almost six years, it has created confusion among the AIADMK cadres.
