Women entrepreneurs could avail loan worth Rs 2 lakhs to Rs 10 crore from Union bank of India, said the Deputy General Manager of the bank Renjith Swaminathan.
The bank conducted a camp at its bank in Ganapathy in the city on Saturday to explain to the customers about the loans to obtain MSME loans. Industrialists and others participated in the camp. Speaking in the camp, the Deputy General Manager said, “To encourage the women entrepreneurs, the bank has been implementing a scheme called ‘union nari shakti’. To empower the nation by empowering the women, the bank has been providing loan amounts worth Rs 2 lakhs to Rs 10 crores.”
“We have introduced a scheme called ‘MSME Suvitha’, ahead of the 75th Independence day to encourage the industrialists to start and expand MSMEs. Under the scheme, all the arrangements would be made to construct the industry and procure equipment upon submitting the land documents. Even though several schemes are made available for the welfare of the MSMEs, not many are utilising it properly,” said MSME Assistant General Manager TK Abijith.
The official said that they will also distribute loan amounts to the beneficiaries during the event itself.
