Women’s Day conclave held at SRIT

The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering of the Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology (SRIT) and the Intelligent Signal Processing Research Cluster (ISPRC) arranged a conclave in the college in connection with the international women's day on  March 8. 

Nearly 250 participants comprising of girl students, faculty members participated. Dr.C.R.Hema, Professor & Head, of the Department of  welcomed. 

The principal Dr.M.Paulraj delivered the presidential address. Dr.V.Kasthuri Thilagam, Senior Scientist (Soil Science), ICAR – Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu was the Chief Guest and delivered the Special Address on Women’s Day. SRIT honoured four women from Coimbatore under four different categories. 

Dr.A.Vasanthi, Principal (Rtd.), Coimbatore Medical College, Ms.M.Selvakumari, Inspector of Police, Perur Police Station, Dr.G.P.Godhanavalli, Social worker, Counsellor & Entrepreneur and Ms.C.Sangeetha, Sambavi Women’s Self Help Group, Pachapalayam, Coimbatore received the honour.  Dr.S.Anne Susan, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, proposed  the vote of thanks.
