The future of the country is in the hands of the youth, so that they should behave responsibly and work hard for country's growth, Dr. Ulagi, Joint Director for Collegiate Education said at the 24th convocation ceremony of Kongu Arts and Science College, held on Sunday in the college .
She awarded UG and PG degrees to 1481 students including 97 varsity rank holders and 29 gold medalists. In her address, she said that ''the youth who are graduating today are the future pillars of the country.
The development of our country is in their hands. So, they should strive hard for the progress of the country with a sense of responsibility. An IAS officer I know got low marks in the school final exam. He was teased. But, he was not disheartened. He continued to work hard and became an IAS officer. So, don't regret for getting low marks in school or college course. Graduates can write and succeed in civil service exams like IAS. Efforts will lead to success.
There are plenty of jobs in front of the youth who should not let efforts,'' she advised. College Trust President V K Muthuswamy, Secretary P C Palaniswami, Trustees Lingamurthy, Parameswari Lingamurthy, Devaraja, College Correspondent Palanichami, Principal Dr. M Raman, Heads of various Departments, parents and students were present.
