Around 1117 volunteers were appointed to visit door to door to submit forms to people under the Ungaludan Stalin scheme in the district, said Collector S Kandasamy.
Talking to newsmen at the collectorate on Monday, he said that the CM will inaugurate the scheme in Chidambaram tomorrow and Housing Minister S Muthusamy at Bavani Platinum Mahal. 40 camps will be hels in Erode Corporation, 41 in Municipality, 84 in town panchayat from July 15 to October. Action be taken on the grievance petitions within 45 days.
Some petitions regarding name transfer, diffables ID card etc will be disposed then and there. In urban areas, 43 services of 13 departments and rural areas 46 services of 15 departments will be provided in the camps.
In the first phase, 2.60 lakh applications 2.54 lakh information books and 1.54 lakh Mahalir Urimai Thogai forms will be distributed door to door. The reply on the petitions will be sent to the applicants. People can submit petitions for their grievances in the camps held in their areas or in the taluk offices.Over 9000 petitions received regarding Mahalir Urimai Thogai will be included under the scheme. From Jan to June, 2.80 lakh petitions were attended and 45000 women were getting Mahalir Urimai Thogai in the district.
