15 injured as college bus collides with a lorry in Coimbatore

A tragic accident occurred in Coimbatore's Eachanari area when a bus from Karpagam College, carrying students from the surrounding areas of Sulur, collided with a heavy lorry loaded with chicken feed near Pappampatti. The collision resulted in injuries to more than 15 people, including four female students. Five individuals sustained serious injuries and were immediately rushed to nearby hospitals by bystanders.

The Sulur police arrived at the scene after being alerted and have registered a case to investigate the incident. Preliminary findings indicate that the bus driver's negligence may have contributed to the accident. The injured students are currently receiving treatment in both private and government hospitals. The accident also caused significant traffic disruptions on the Palladam-Kochi highway, with delays lasting over two hours.
