4 held for running Fake Brewery

Erode  Police arrested 4 persons on Friday for running a fake brewery. Annachi (A) Veerapandian (51) of Muthukulathur near Kamudi in Ramanathapuram district was found absconding by the Kumbakonam Liquor Prohibition Police in connection with the sale of fake liquor in Kumbakonam area of ​​Thanjavur district.

It was revealed that his mobile number was traced  in Veerappanchatram, Chulai area of ​​Erode for the past few days. He informed the Erode district police about this. Following information from Kumbakonam police,  a team led by Erode Town DSP Anandakumar, Prohibition Enforcement Division DSP Pavitra and Inspector Shanmugam caught Annachi on Friday morning in a building in Erode Chulai by tracking his mobile phone signal. 

In the inquiry conducted there, a small-scale brewery used to produce alcohol  and sell it by filling it  in old wine bottles. After this, the police arrested 4 persons  namely Annachi, Mazlaraj (34), Ashokumar (33) and Chithraivel (35) from Mudukulathur and confiscated 52 bottles of liquor and small machines from them.
