477 job offers extended at Private Sector Employment Camp

The special private sector employment camp conducted on Friday day Salem District Employment and Vocational Guidance Centre on Friday (February 16, 2024)witnessed the participation of 109 leading employers. Out of the 1,843 individuals who engaged in the camp, a notable 477 candidates received job offers, signaling a tangible outcome of the initiative. 

The private sector employment camp, initiated 25 years ago in Salem, has now expanded its reach across Tamil Nadu, marking a significant milestone in addressing unemployment challenges said the District Collector Dr.R Brindadevi speaking on the occassion. She highlighted the centre’s comprehensive coaching programs tailored for various competitive examinations conducted by Tamil Nadu Government Staff Selection Board. Last year, the center witnessed 297 successful candidates passing these competitive exams, reflecting the efficacy of its training initiatives. 

Present at the event were key officials including Corporation Commissioner Mr. C. Balachander, Zonal Joint Director of Employment Department Mrs. A. Latha, Deputy Director of Employment and Vocational Guidance Center Mr. Dr. S. Mani, and District Industries Centre General Manager, D.Sivakumar and several related officials.
