A special legal services camp was held at Yercaud Court on Sunday under the chairmanship of Magistrate Saravanan.The court hearing was attended by a large number of staff, lawyers and members of the public. During the special legal services proceedings 4 land related cases, 4 alimony cases and 60 criminal cases were heard.
Of the 60 criminal cases, a fine of Rs 32,000 was imposed and the case was closed.
Judge Saravanan spoke about the great benefits to the people through this fee special legal services camp. The camp will be conducted by the District Legal Services Authority once in three months in which people can file their complaints directly in court. The opposing party mentioned in the petition will be summoned on the same day or any other date and a settlement will be reached.
The cases heard in this court are conducted in order to reduce the money and time spent of the poor people and to facilitate their convenience without full punishment.
“At the hearing here, both parties will be reconciled and a conciliation order will be issued. He further added that they could not file a case or appeal anywhere else” he said.
