8th National Painting Exhibition

The 8th National Painting Exhibition 2025 was inaugurated on 2nd May 2025 at Lalit Kala Akademi, Chennai. 
G. Sridalaadevi (Secretary, Pondicherry Art Akademy) welcomed the gathering and Mrs. Premalatha Seshadri cut the ribbon to open the exhibition.

A catalogue was released by Mrs. Lakshmi Krishnamurthy, with the first copy given to Artist Sudha Ramen, IFS Officer (Member Secretary of State Planning Commission, Chennai) in the presence of M. Sovan Kumar, 
Regional Director of the Lalit Kala Akademi and Kalaimamani.

Organized by the Pondicherry Art Akademy, the exhibition features 96 women artists from across India, promoting gender equality and artistic diversity. 
It will be open until 8th May 2025 from 10 am to 5 pm.
