The 1996–2000 batch of the Amrita Institute of Technology marked their Silver Jubilee with a reunion at the Coimbatore campus, bringing together 90 alumni and 70 faculty members from across India, the USA, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
Celebrating 25 years since graduation, the alumni gathered to reconnect with classmates and teachers, and to revisit the campus where their professional journeys began. As a gesture of gratitude, the Amrita Institute of Technology Alumni Association contributed ₹5 lakh to the Amrita Scholarship Fund, reaffirming their commitment to supporting the next generation of students.
The event was presided over in person by Swami Tapasyamritananda Puri and Dr. Sasangan Ramanathan, Dean of the School of Engineering. Prof. Jay Misra, Director Of Alumni Relations, joined the celebration online and shared his reflections on the cohort’s achievements. In their addresses, the dignitaries highlighted the enduring bonds formed at Amrita and the impact alumni can have in shaping educational opportunities for others.
