Following many complaints from ryots regarding adulteration in sago which hit sales of sago in north India, District Revenue Officer Santoshni Chandra said that appropriate action will be taken by the officials of the Food Safety Department on the complaint.
At the monthly farmers' grievance redressal meeting, held at the Collector's office on Friday, she said officials of the Food Safety Department will investigate the complaint. On other grievances, she said the workers are hired only as per the law of the MGNREGS. The feedback of the farmers demanding a change in the Act will be sent to the government.

Granting of patta in the lands classified as Ryotwari and Sarkar land divisions has been suspended. However, if the public submit petitions in this regard, the RDOs should consider them and pattas would be given once GO is received, she added.
