All India Christian council petitions collector

All India Christian Council has petitioned the district collector Kranthikumar Pati seeking his intervention to urge the union government to take security measures to protect churches that were attacked in the Manipur riot. 
Riots have been continuing to take place in Manipur and the union government should take measures to protect churches, the petitioners said, urging the union government to send paramilitary forces to the state to control the riots. 
They also requested the government to protect Christians living there.
