Amma restaurants to offer free food today and tomorrow in Chennai says CM Stalin

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin announced that Amma restaurants in Chennai would provide free meals today and tomorrow to assist those affected by the ongoing north-east monsoon.
In his statement, he mentioned that relief operations are in full swing in areas impacted by the heavy rains. People from low-lying regions are being relocated to relief camps, where the Chennai Corporation is supplying food and other necessary aid.
For the wider population, especially the poor and underprivileged living in other parts of the city, free meals will be available at Amma restaurants for two days. Additionally, a news release from the Chennai Corporation noted that, out of 539 waterlogged areas, 436 have been fully drained, with efforts to clear the remaining 103 locations
underway.
The release also mentioned that 54 fallen trees have been removed over the past two days.
Currently, 944 individuals are staying in 27 relief camps, and food has been provided to approximately 7.18 lakh people in the rain-affected areas.
