More than 500 teachers from Amrita Vidyalayams across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry participated in an eight-day cultural camp organized at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Coimbatore campus. The event was part of the faculty development initiatives undertaken by the network of CBSE schools managed by the Mata Amritanandamayi Math.
The camp, themed “Gita for Daily Life,” focused on integrating the timeless values of the Bhagavad Gita into everyday teaching and personal practice. Swami Purnamritananda Puri, General Secretary of the Mata Amritanandamayi Math, inaugurated the event.
The camp covered a range of topics, including the message of the Gita, Gita and Yoga, the divine teacher, and practical applications in daily life. Experts provided valuable insights on Karma Yoga, Dharma, and spreading the Gita’s message, highlighting its relevance to both personal growth and modern-day teaching.
Sessions during the camp were led by a range of distinguished speakers, including Swami Chidananda Puri (Advaita Ashram, Kozhikode), Swami Mitrananda (Chinmaya Mission), Swami Ajamritananda Puri (Mata Amritanandamayi Math), Dr. Gurujnanambikai (Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women), and Dr. S.
