Coimbatore Aiming to set 27 world records, Amrita Vidyalayam is organizing ‘world records festival 2025’ from April 3 to 11 at its premises in the city. It is to celebrate the 25th year anniversary of Amrita Vidyalayam located at Nallampalayam in the city.
According to a statement released by the institution, about 3,100 students from Pre-KG to class XII will participate in the festival along with 150 teaching and non-teaching staff.
Over six days, the school will attempt to achieve 27 world records, marking it as the first school in the world to achieve such a milestone within this time frame.
The festival will be officially certified by leading global record-certifying organizations, including Elite World Records, Asian Records Academy, India Records Academy and Tamilan Book of Records. World record adjudicators from both India and abroad will oversee and validate the achievements to ensure the authenticity of each record, the statement added.
The records will span a wide range of disciplines, including fine arts, sports, LSRW (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) skills, spiritual empowerment, and environmental stewardship.
The statement said, the festival is inspired by the philosophy of Amrita Amma, who believes that "Gaining mastery over the mind is the real education."
The celebration reflects the school’s dedication to empowering students with creativity, intelligence, and strong moral character, the statement said, adding that the festival also underscores the institution’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals, focusing on academic brilliance as well as extracurricular and co-curricular talents.
The festival will be conducted under the leadership of Swamini Muktamrita Prana, Manager of Amrita Vidyalayam, K Jayajyothy, Principal, B Padmaja, Academic Coordinator, and MR Sudha, Headmistress (Primary Level).
