Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham gets Rs 1.2 Cr ICSSR grant for Coastal Resilience Study

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has been awarded a research grant of ₹1.2 crore by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Education, to support a comprehensive study on post-disaster housing and livelihood recovery in coastal regions of India.
The project, titled “Resilience in Transition: A Longitudinal Study on Post-Tsunami Housing Reconstruction and Livelihood Revitalisation in India’s Vulnerable Coasts,” will examine long-term outcomes of tsunami rehabilitation efforts. 
The initiative is led by Dr. Pratheek Sudhakaran (Amrita School of Architecture) and Dr. Sudha Arlikatti (Amrita School of Sustainable Futures). 
This is a multi-institutional collaboration, bringing together scholars from Pondicherry University, NIT Calicut, SPA Vijayawada, Madras School of Economics, Rabdan Academy (UAE), and Keio University (Japan).
