PM's emotional "En Man En Desam Movement's Amudakalasa Yatra" began in Coimbatore yesterday.
On the 75th anniversary of India's independence and in the memory of the soldiers who laid down their lives for this country, the movement organized by the Central Occupational Safety and Health Force on behalf of the Department of Youth Welfare and Sports was held in Coimbatore district at Kathir College where the holy soil taken from the villages of the martyrs of the freedom struggle and sent to Delhi to build Nandavan with due respect. The event was emotional.
All the soil in the urns will be used to plant saplings near the National War Memorial in Delhi and set up Amudapoongavan. State President of BJP Agriculture Team Mr.G.K.Nagaraj, MLAs Mr.Kandasamy, Mr.Jayaraman, President of Kathir College Mr.Kadir, KMCH President Mr.Dr.Arun, Sankara Hospital President Mr.Dr.Ramani and the families of soldiers who died for the nation participated in the event.
