Antique car show begins in Coimbatore

More than 30 antique cars were on display at the antique car show in Coimbatore.

Coimbatore Vizha is organised every year to embellish the specialities of Coimbatore. The antique car show has been organised at the Cosmo Club premises on Racecourse Road, Coimbatore, ahead of this year's Coimbatore Festival.

District Collector Dr GS Sameeran inaugurated the exhibition. People from Coimbatore, Palladam, Tiruppur, Annur and Pollachi showcased their antique cars at the exhibition. About 30 old model cars are featured in the exhibition.

The exhibition features a variety of used cars from before independence to older model cars from the 1980s. Old model Benz, Chevrolet, Ford, Padmini, Ambassador Volkswagen, Jeep, etc., have been included.

People were delighted to see the parade of all the old model cars. The fest organisers have announced that the cars will be on display for a few more days for public viewing.
