Apollo Simulation Centre at Apollo Speciality Hospitals, Vanagaram signed a MoU with Tamil Nadu Nurse and Midwives Council today to implement competency based training through simulation technique for student nurses.
The memorandum was signed by Dr. Ani Grace Kalaimathi, Registrar on behalf of TNNMC and Dr. Muralidharan M, Director Apollo Simulation Centre and DME and Vice President, Apollo Knowledge, in the presence of Padmavibushan Dr. Prathap C Reddy, Founder and Chairman, Apollo Hospitals, Mr. Sivaramakrishnan Venkateswaran, CEO, Apollo Knowledge and Dr. Anupam Sibal, Group Medical Director, Apollo Hospitals. Simulation-based training has been made mandatory, based on the new curriculum implemented by the Indian Nursing Council.
By entering in to this memorandum Apollo Simulation Centre will become the State Simulation Referral Centre for Training of Trainers for Nursing Leaders in Simulation in preservice education. This training will be first of its kind in the country to be implemented throughout the state across all colleges as simulation-based training has been made mandatory, based on the new curriculum implemented by the Indian Nursing Council, according to an official press release.
