Application launched to monitor the Nutritious Breakfast Scheme

The Tamil Nadu government has launched an application to monitor the proper implementation of nutritious breakfast scheme for students of classes between I and V in the state-run primary schools.A few days ago, the Chief Minister MK Stalin had launched the nutritious breakfast scheme in the state at the cost of Rs 33.56 crore and it has gained attention across the country. The scheme is expected to be launched in other states as well in the upcoming days.

The government has decided to implement the scheme for the primary school students in the first phase before extending it to other classes. In the first phase, the scheme is implemented in 1,545 government, corporation, municipality and panchayat primary schools across the state and over 14,095 students would be benefitted from the scheme.

Now, the government has launched an application – CM13FS - to monitor the proper implementation of the scheme. The application is designed in such a way that the Chief Minister himself could directly monitor various parameters of the schemes like whether the menu was followed properly and whether food is served on time. The government has instructed the concerned officials to ensure that breakfast is ready by 7:45 am as students are expected to reach their schools early to have their breakfast.
