As Israel-Hamas war persists, intensified push for ceasefire needed

The Middle East has a long-standing tension, as seen in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, which has lasted 310 days. Thousands have died on both sides with casualities of children and youth reported to be high. An immediate ceasefire will only lead to normalisation.
Already the USA, Qatar and Egypt are engaged in peace talks on both sides. Efforts are being made to bring about a cease-fire agreement in Gaza.
The problem is that Israel is getting involved. The proposals by US President Joe Biden have received attention. His tenure will end soon. The US presidential election will be held on November 5. Joe Biden is not running. So a new president will be selected. Joe Biden believes that steps can be taken to restore peace in Gaza by then.
``My team and I have stepped up all efforts to restore peace in Gaza,'' Joe Biden said.
Many countries including India want the Israel & Gaza war to stop. Armistice is possible; let  it be possible soon!
