ASEAN-EU Senior Officials’ Meeting held in Chennai

The ASEAN-India meeting was co-chaired by Dr. Moe Kyaw Aung, Ambassador of Myanmar to India, and Dr. Asif Iqbal, President IETO & IATC, Dr. Venkatachalam, and H.E. Nitrooge Phonepsrat, Consul General of Thailand in South India. The meeting emphasized the importance of cooperation on trade, investment, connectivity, enhancing dialogue on political and security issues of common concern, and promoting closer people-to-people ties. It also discussed important developments in other regions and global issues that could have a potential impact on regional and global peace and prosperity. 

Additionally, the meeting reaffirmed the commitment to regional integration and cooperation as a means to promote multilateralism and a rules-based international order.
