Atishi Marlena (43), who succeeds Kejariwal as Delhi's Chief Minister and is one of the senior leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party, won the 2020 elections and became an MLA.
Inducted into the cabinet in March 2023 after Satyendra Jain and Manish Sisodia resigned from their ministerial posts due to legal issues. Then he was given the responsibilities of the Education, Public Works Department, Electricity and Tourism Department.
Atishi is a key contributor to the educational transformation that has taken place in Delhi's government schools. She also contributed in increasing the facilities in the schools and raising the standard of teaching practice. When Manish Sisodia was the Deputy Chief Minister, she spearheaded several initiatives like the 'Entrepreneurship Curriculum' and the 'Happiness Curriculum'.
Apart from her contribution in the field of education, she is also very focused on environmental issues. Atishi has done many environmental projects in Delhi including renewable energy and pollution control.
Legislative Assembly elections for Delhi will be held in the month of February 2025. So, till then Atishi Marlena will continue as Chief Minister. She is seen as the main leader who kept the government and the party strong when Arvind Kejriwal went to jail. She is appreciated by all as the right and suitable person for the post of Chief Minister. Her talent has earned her the post of Chief Minister.
