Avinashilingam Institute celebrates Handing Over Ceremony

Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, (Deemed to be University), Coimbatore celebrated the Handing Over Ceremony & Thanksgiving Day Celebration for the academic year 2023-2024 on April 8.
Vice Chancellor Dr. V. Geethalakshmi, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, was the chief guest of the event. 
Registrar Dr. S. Kowsalya welcomed the gathering.
Following which the student council, NCC, NSS and sports representatives of the academic year 2023-2024 handed over their badges and responsibilities to the newly elected representatives of the academic year 2024-2025.
Chancellor and Managing Trustee Dr.T.S.K. Meenakshisundaram presided over the celebrations.
Honourable Vice Chancellor Dr. V. Bharathi Harishankar, presented the achievements of the Institute for the academic year 2023-2024. 
The Institute has implemented educational reforms in tandem with the National Education Policy-2020, which aims at futuristic approach, emphasizing on research and global skill development in higher education. The Institute secured the 81st rank under ‘University Category’ in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), 2023. 
The chief guest, Vice Chancellor Dr. V. Geethalakshmi, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore congratulated the students and wished them all success. 
The dignitaries honored the proficiency prize winners and winners of various competitions. They congratulated the NCC, NSS, Sports, Student council and the Office bearers for their contribution.
The Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Vasugi Raja proposed the Vote of Thanks.
