The Department of Food Science and Nutrition, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore celebrated the valedictory function of the National Nutrition Month 2022, themed as ‘Celebrate a World of Flavours’ yesterday. The students of II M.Sc. Food Science and Nutrition organized various activities from 1st September to 29th September, 2022, in order to create awareness among students as well as faculty members and educate the society regarding the importance of nutrition with traditional flavors.
The guest of honour for the valedictory function was Ms.Harini. R, Nutrigenetics Life Science Pvt. Ltd. Coimbatore. Ms.Elamathi.S of II M.Sc. Food Science and Nutrition, welcomed. All activity conducted in regard with National Nutrition Month were presented by Ms.Sandhiya. S and Ms.Uma. Dr. S. Kowsalya, Registrar, Dean Dr. N. Vasugi, Profs Dr.M.Sylvia Subapriya, Dr.A.Thirumani Devi, Dr.A.Thirumani Devi, and Dr.Pa.Raajeswari, Ms.Pradeepa.T of II M.Sc spoke. With this, Ms. Harini spoke on ‘Enterpreneurship Opportunities for Graduates of Food Science and Nutrition’The chief guest and dignitaries distributed prizes to winners of various competitions. A vote of gratitude was given by Ms.S.Monika Sri proposed a vote of thanks.
