The Award Ceremony 2025 for Computing and Allied Engineering Programmes (UG and PG programmes of the Departments of Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Engineering, and Information Technology) of PSG College of Technology was held on July 18 at the PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (PSG IMSR) Auditorium.
Shri L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee of PSG & Sons' Charities, graced the occasion with his presence. Dr. K. Prakasan, Principal of PSG College of Technology, delivered the presidential address and highlighted the notable achievements of the students during the academic year 2024-2025.
Keynote address was delivered by the Chief Guest, Prof. Yogesh Singh, Vice Chancellor of the University of Delhi, during PSG Tech's graduation ceremony. Addressing graduates, faculty, and families, he praised PSG's legacy of excellence since its founding in 1951 and acknowledged the leadership of Principal Dr. K. Prakasan for his commitment to academic and societal progress.
He called on students to become innovators, entrepreneurs, and contributors to India's development, aligning with the national vision of becoming a $25 trillion economy by 2047. Encouraging global exposure but local impact, he urged graduates to define success by how much they give back, not by what they accumulate. He emphasized the vital role engineers and technologists must play in this transformation, aligning with the national shift from "Make in India" to "Design in India" and eventually "Innovate and Dream in India."
In this award ceremony four hundred and thirty six students received their degree certificates. Also the rank holders of each programme were honoured with gold medal
