Awareness meeting ahead of elections held in Coimbatore

During a series of meetings convened in Coimbatore city on Friday, election officials, flying squads, bankers, and poster printers were briefed on post-announcement measures for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

District Election Officer Kranthi Kumar Pati directed bankers to remain vigilant for suspiciously high transactions and to ensure all necessary documents accompany cash transfers. Poster and flex printers were instructed to furnish a copy of printed content and contact details to the Collectorate. 

Political parties were urged to remove flag posts, flags, and banners within one hour of election announcement, with flying squads enforcing the model code of conduct promptly. Poll booth officials were tasked with submitting reports concerning significant individuals on voter lists, including those aged approximately 85 years.
