Awareness program for coconut farmers by Amrita School of Agriculture

Students of Amrita School of Agriculture organised an awareness program for the coconut farmers in the district. The program aimed to educate farmers about the TNAU-recommended coconut tonic for enhanced crop growth and the significance of honey bee farming.

The 4th year students from the college engaged with farmers from Chokanur and Pottaiyandipurapu villages, discussing methods to increase coconut yield and effective pest management. They also explained the benefits of using the recommended coconut tonic and beekeeping practices. The awareness program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sudish Manal, Principal, Amrita School of Agriculture.
