Bank of India Coimbatore Zone extended its loan assistance to more than 6500 women entrepreneurs and women self-help groups under various schemes in order to commemorate International women's day at the Barathiyar University on Thursday.
Bank of India is a leading public sector bank with more than 5500 branches not only in India but across the world.
In the event, Bank of India General Manager Mukesh Sharma, NBG (South), Chennai, Bharatiyar University VC Council Chairperson Lovelina Little, Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihoods Mission Assistant Project Officer Asokan, Bank of India Coimbatore Zonal Manager Ajeya Thakur and other dignitaries were present. More than 1000 women entrepreneurs participated in the event.
More than Rs 50 crore agricultural loans and Rs.130 crore to MSMEs and retail businesses were given.
In his speech, Coimbatore Zonal Manager Ajeya Thakur said that Loan assistance to the tune of Rs 188 crore has been provided under various schemes.
Mukesh Sharma, General Manager, Bank of India asked everyone to take advantage of the schemes of the bank.
Bharatiyar University VC Council Chairman Lovelina Little gave a keynote speech.
