Collector Krantikumar Padi presided over a consultation meeting with bankers at the collector's office on Wednesday.
District Lead Bank Manager Jitendran and bank officers attended the meeting. In this meeting, the recent severe drought in the Coimbatore area and the affected small and medium enterprises, self-help groups and agriculture, dues of business loan installments received from the banks by women self-help groups were discussed. A resolution was passed and forwarded to the State Level Bankers Committee to approve the loan restructuring schemes as per the RBI norms. Loans from Rs.4 lakh to Rs.7.50 lakh will be disbursed after signature of one guarantor. Loans are provided based on property between Rs.7.50 lakh to Rs.10 lakh. Students who want to pursue higher education can avail this opportunity. In case of delay, complaint can be lodged at the customer service center of the bank. Even if there is a delay, a complaint can be made to the Regional Manager of the bank.
