‘Best Sellers of India Awards 2022’ by India SME Forum: Tamil Nadu Spearheading the Phygital Retail

To encourage and support the unprecedented growth trend of MSMEs by adopting the ambivalent model, India SME Forum (ISF), is hosting a first of its kind seller awards, the ‘Best Sellers of India Awards 2022’
to honor the outstanding achievements and excellence of retailers across Southern India.

Sellers who have leveraged the latest technologies to serve the interests of the consumers while scaling business will be evaluated on both financial and non-financial indicators such as growth performance, financial soundness, future-proof orientation, and digital journey, among others. The awards will be presented to 32 retailers across 8 sectors and 6 regions. 

Speaking on this, Dr. Aruna Sharma,IAS, Former Secretary, Steel and MeitY, Mr. Ramesh Abhishek, IAS, 
Former Secretary, DPIIT, along with Mr. Vinod Kumar,President, India  SME Forum,to shed light on the upcoming awards.Dr. Sharma highlighted that the biggest criteria for judging the awards will be phy-gital excellence. 

“What we are looking at is how sellers who are experts in the physical markets and have now digitised their business, are engaging with e-commerce and expanding their business,” she said.  Hybrid models are a game-changer said Ramesh Abhishek, Former Secretary, DPIIT in his speech.
