BIT students secure 1st Prize in Open Automation Challenge Competition

The B & R Industrial Automation and ABB jointly organized the Open Automation Challenge 2023, dedicated to the engineering student community.

 Team ALPHA of Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (BIT) consisting Dhanushkumar R, Jeevaga Kirupha Roopan S, Krishnapriyan M S, and Gokulakrishnan D P from the AI Based Industrial Automation Lab, have participated in the competition, in which around 106 teams from all over India have participated. Team ALPHA has presented their project proposal entitled “AI based Swarm Robots for Warehouse Management”. 

Design intra-logistics

In the finals, the team Alpha proposed the idea to design intra-logistics swarm robots with a centralized camera for navigation and pose estimation and make a Carbon free logistics solution. 

This project Idea is for Multinational companies around the world due to the increasing usage of Fuel Powered Forklift Vehicles for transportation of materials and industry products. BIT Students Team ALPHA secured first prize with a Cash prize for their project presentation in the event held on February 16 and 17, 2023, at Sinhgad Engineering Institutes, Pune.
