BJP condemns caste based question paper in Periyar varsity

Condemning caste based question paper  in the Periyar varsity exam,  BJP SC, ST wing staged a demonstration at Erode on Monday seeking the resignation of higher education minister Ponmudi by taking moral responsibility for a question asked in the MA History exam in the Periyar varsity insulting the people of SC, ST. Heading the stir, BJP propaganda secretary A Saravanan said the question cited 4 castes and asked which was the most oppressed class in TN.

In the Periyar varsity itself such a question promoting casteism was asked, one can understand the deep-rooted casteism and education standard in the state under the Dravidian Model rule. So, stern action should be taken on the teachers who framed the question paper and officials of the varsity. As per a data, over 50000 cases registered under the SC,ST Prevention of Atrocities Act were pending in the state though such cases should be disposed within 120 days.

The datas also said the atrocities were more in 25 districts in TN and Tanjore, native district of DMK chief Karunanidhi, was top in the list. The DMK spoke on social Justice and Tamil always. But, casteism was more in its rule and over 48000 students failed in Tamil language paper in the recent result of 10th exam. The education scenario in the state became worst so that only BJP wanted enforcement of New Education Policy, he added. Party functionaries Senthilkumar, Vinayakamurthy, Palanisamy, Ayyasamy, Sundaranarayanan, Eswaramoorthi and Sivakami spoke.
