BJP distributes coconut to people

BJP farmers wing state president GK Nagaraj distributed coconut and coconut saplings to public in the party stir held at Karur on Thursday. The stir was held to press the government to give coconut also alongwith Pongal gift hamper as the coconut growers were suffering much due to steep fall in coconut, copra procurement price. It was also held to press distribution of groundnut oil in the ration shops instead of palm oil as the coconut oil has high nutrient value.

The wing condemned the government for not giving permission to hold the stir in the state. The stir was held at Karur in violation of the ban order. The wing functionaries Agni Eswar, Satya Bhanu, and Arunachalam participated in the demonstration.
