BJP sets up ‘water pandal’

BJP cadres have set up ‘water pandals’ in front of the party’s south district office in the city to distribute water and buttermilk to the public. The pandal was set up based on the directions of the party’s state president Nainar Nagendran.

District President K Ramesh presided over the inaugural function, and distributed water, coconut water, watermelon and other fruits to the public, Girivalam devotees, auto drivers and bus passengers to quench their thirst in the summer heat.
They have also been distributing water to government and private bus passengers plying from Avalurpettai Road to Tiruvannamalai Bus Stand in the district.

District treasurer SPK Subramanian, vice president Kavitha Pratheesh, secretaries P Krishnamoorthy, and AIC Vijay, former vice-president Agri Chandrasekar, advocate Arunkumar, city secretaries M Raja, and P Muthukumar, zonal presidents Rajendran and Ashokan, former union presidents L Rajagopal, and R Palani, district executive committee member A Veerappan, state general committee member A Ezhumalai, former state general committee members R Arumugan, and Poongan, state executive committee member Raja Thamayendi, trade union secretary KS Annamalai, union leaders M Sakthivel, R Rajkumar, Karthi, R Panner and others attended the event.
