The Coimbatore City Traffic Police organised a road safety awareness and pledge-taking program for Carmel Garden school students as part of their ongoing efforts to prevent accidents and promote safe driving practices.
The event, held at a private school in the Puliyakulam area, marked the 36th Road Safety Awareness Month celebrations. Assistant Commissioner of Traffic Police Shekhar addressed over 1,500 students, emphasising the importance of adhering to traffic rules and practicing safe driving.
In his speech, the Assistant Commissioner highlighted how following traffic regulations, wearing helmets, and using seat belts can save lives and reduce accidents. He urged the students to become responsible citizens and advocates for road safety in their communities.
As part of the program, students enthusiastically participated in a pledge-taking ceremony, committing to road safety and spreading awareness about the importance of traffic rules.
