Functionaries of TN Government Pensioners Association, led by district secretary V Panneerselvam, appealed to the district treasury officer Raja to ensure cashless medical treatment for pensioners under the government health insurance scheme as per the announcement made by the government as some hospitals demanded money for diagnosis and treatment in advance.
In the meeting, they also discussed the Jeeva Praman certificate to be submitted by pensioners in the treasury offices to get pensions and their mustering (interview) process which could begin in July in the treasury offices, after 2 years of corona impact. Following the functionaries plea, the treasury officer assured to ensure proper functioning of Gobi treasury office. They thanked him for taking prompt action on the petitions given by the association.
