Researchers in Centre for Transdisciplinary Research (CFTR) are involved in various interdisciplinary research at Gold lab of Saveetha Institute of medical and Technical Sciences, Chennai. The researchers are specialists in computational biology, cell culture, animal studies, nanotechnology, oncology, pharmacognosy, toxicology and microbial studies including antimicrobial resistance.

We have scientists who are also involved in the biocompatible, wound healing and surgical bone defect studies in small animals. Researchers are also specialists in carrying out pharmacological and toxicological studies using cell culture and animal models.They study biomedical applications of nanodrugs and develop nano-based dental products such as mouthwash, toothpaste, dental varnish, paint, and nanoformulation gels.

Researchers are also involved in the evaluation of therapeutic efficacy of phytocompounds and small molecules animal models. We  have Zeiss advanced microscope, qPCR, ELISA, Western blotting, auto analyser and other facilities to carry out the molecular studies, according to a press release from the institution.
