Centre's plan to conduct Exam for Practising Medical Profession opposed

The Central government is planning to conduct an examination to register as a doctor after studying medicine and conduct a doctor's profession.  The medical college students and doctors should unite against the exam, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Tamil Nadu branch former president K Prakasam saif.
IMA Erode branch celebrated Doctor's Day inaugurated its new building and distributed  awards to various individuals, charitable organizations and doctors who have served for the dociety at  Erode yesterday. Dr. Palanichamy, State President of IMA attended as the special guest.

Dr. K Prakash said that Central Government planned to hold next 2 exam for medicos after getting degree.  Only if they succeed in it, they can register themselves and start their own profession. Similarly, even after completion the PG exam,  one had to pass the qualifying exam to practise. Even 50 percent of medicos would not pass the qualifying exam after UG degree.  Many people, including our children, are studying medicine. 

 So, we need to create awareness among students about this exam. Indian Medical Association has successfully conducted various protests to protect the medical profession. We should fight and win on this issue also, he stressed. 

Joint Director for Health Dr Premakumari said the government has laid down various rules and protocols regarding doctors and hospitals.  If they follow the rules properly then there is no problem. If the rules are not followed  problem arise. 

The hospitals should register under the clinical establishment Act  created to regularise hospitals through online. But, many did not register. Various doubts were raised regarding it through online and replies were given through online.

 If doctors have doubts, they can come personally also to get clarification.However, we are planning to call a group of high officials from Chennai to Erode to clarify the doubts of doctors, she added.
IMA National Vice President CN Raja said. IMA state President Elect Dr. KM Abul Hasan, Past President Dr. SS Sukumar, Erode Branch Secretary Dr. Saravanan,President Senthil Kumar, Treasurer Parthiban, Administrators Madhavan,  Jayantkumar, Madankumar, Chakravarthy, Prasad, Senthilvel and many others participated in the event.
