Chess Competition for School Students held

A chess competition for school students was held on Wednesday in Erode government girls HSS, PS Park  Erode, on behalf of the School Education Department.
 

The 44th Chess Olympiad will be held from July 28 at Mamallapuram, Chennai. In this regard, the school education department has ordered to hold a chess competition for school students.  So, an inter-school chess tournament was held in 4 categories namely 1st to 5th class, 6th to 8th class, 9th and 10th class, 11th and 12th class.  More than 120 students participated in this competition held in 6 rounds.  

Students who secured the first three positions in the competition will qualify for the next competition, officials said.
