'Choose Higher Studies according to progress of the World'

Students should choose higher education according to the progress of the world, Satish Dhawan Space Research Center Deputy Director and Scientist  R Senthilkumar advised. Addressing at the 17th convocation of Velalar College of Engineering and Technology, Erode, he awarded degrees to 927 students including 60 varsity rank holders.

He said "Now, you have to face the world alone. You have reached this high level due to the guidance of parents and teachers. So, never forget them. Graduates have more chances to get higher education or job opportunities.  Especially, in the field of bio technology there will be more progress in the future. When Corona was threatening the world vaccines were kept in six degrees Celsius due to the progress of Biotechnology and thus we protected people.

Next major field is data science. From rockets to two-wheelers, chips are based on the basis of data science. Chennai IIT teaches it through online to 2 lakh students. 1 year certificate, 2 year diploma, 3 year degree and 4 year MS degree can be obtained by pursuing the course while studying PG and or working in any firm. If family income is less than Rs 1 lakh in general or Rs 5 lakh for women, the course is taught free of cost.

The ISRO has 2100 permanent staff. Engineers having  a research oriented mind can attend preliminary, main exams and face interview to get job.
