City police organized yoga session for cops

More than 650 police personnel attended the yoga session that was organized by the city police in association with Ulaga Samudhaya Sevaa Sangam and former police personnel association at Armed Reserve police parade ground in the city on Tuesday in view of International yoga Day. The session was organized based on the direction of the city police commissioner V Balakrishnan.

 

Police personnel attached to the Armed Reserve, taluk police stations, special wings and home guards attended the session that took place for an hour from 7 am. Yoga techniques that were much needed for police personnel were taught during the session.


 

Inaugurating the session, the commissioner spoke about the importance of practicing yoga regularly and its health benefits, and urged the police personnel to inculcate the habit of practicing yoga regularly.

 

Cedric Immanuel, principal of police training school, A Sekar, assistant commissioner of home guard, former police personnel association’s representatives Vellingiri, Rathinam and Nagarasan, Ulaga Samudhaya Sevaa Sangam’s representatives Selvaraj and Santhanakrishnan, police inspectors Govindaraj and Pratap Singh were present at the event.
