CM MK Stalin declared open additional buildings in the Masinagudi Government Higher Secondary School and in Bandhalur school through online on Saturday.
The cost of the buildings are Rs 3.52 cr and Rs 1.76 cr respectively.
Tourism Minister K. Ramachandran lit a lamp in the Masinagudi school in the presence of the Collector M Aruna.
In his speech, the Minister said: the CM enforced various welfare schemes like distribution of free note books, free bicycles, free uniforms, Rs 1,000 per month under the ``Pudumai Pengal Scheme'', Illam Thedi Kalvi, Ennum Ezhuthum, breakfast schemes etc. to improve the academic performance of the students and with the aim that no one should remain without education in Tamil Nadu.
Parents should come forward to enroll their children in government schools which are functioning parallel to private schools.
The teachers pay special attention on each student to get good marks in the
exams.
In the event, Chief Education Officer Geetha, DEO Nandakumar and many officials attended the function.
